While priests are the primary ministers of the Eucharist, extraordinary ministers assist in the distribution when needed, especially in situations where a large congregation or limited clergy is present. These individuals undergo specific training and are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring a reverent and orderly distribution of the sacrament to the faithful.
